Summary
Twitter has changed the way people communicate. We now have a substantial opportunity to change how marketers interact with our rapidly growing user base. Twitter is creating a world-class team of sales professionals to staff our fastest growing advertiser channel, Mid Market Sales (MMS). As an MMS account executive you will be working with advertisers from the Fortune 250 to Fortune 1000 and beyond, requiring you to be both consultative and results oriented in your approach. If youre entrepreneurial and want to build this business while delivering high impact solutions to a dynamic advertising channel this is the job for you. As an MMS AE you will develop and grow new business revenue with Twitters advertising clients. In addition to acquisition work, youll also help manage a portfolio of existing client relationships. Through a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach you will develop keen insight into your clients businesses, and help them meet their marketing objectives by leveraging Twitters ad platform. This is a fast paced, high energy, direct sales role requiring industry expertise, and the ability to consistently close deals. In addition to meeting and exceeding your revenue targets, you will be a key part of helping us grow Twitter and its advertising business. Success looks like: Grow our business in a way that makes us proud by providing world class service to our advertisers. Communicate fearlessly to build long lasting, revenue generating relationships with our advertisers. Innovate through experimentation to provide customized solutions to our advertiser's needs. Ship it by meeting revenue targets through consultative selling.
Responsibilities
* Develop a pipeline of mid-market clients. * Manage the sales process from prospecting to close and maintain a high volume of closed, new business deals. * Develop deep expertise into Twitters evolving products, platform, and value proposition. * Develop long-term business relationships by demonstrating consultative sales skills in order to understand client business objectives and delivery Twitter solutions. * Create customized, solutions-oriented presentations that demonstrate the power of Twitters advertising products and how they can be leveraged to connect with audiences. * Understand the digital and traditional ad-space as well as the ever changing social media landscape. * Partner with your Account Manager to strengthen and grow client relationships via regular phone and face to face meetings.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BSc degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant experience). * Preferred Qualifications: * 3 to 5 years of selling experience in the digital or media industry. * Ability to succeed within a high volume sales environment in conjunction with driving the full sales cycle from start to finish: cold calls, building pipelines and closing business. * Strong drive to beat targets, relentlessly positive attitude and incredible work ethic. * Strong consultative sales skills with a clear understanding of how to assess prospect needs to meet clients objectives. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, and a bias for proactively resolving issues. * Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment. * Willing to travel. * Infectious passion for Twitter.
