Summary
Advertising Age is looking for an energetic, detailed Advertising Sales professional with excellent communication and project management skills to manage, build and diversify a sales territory. Must be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously and adhere to multiple deadlines; identify new opportunities and develop client relationships as well as team relationships. This Senior Executive must be innovative and creative in their approach and thrive in a fast-pace environment that is constantly evolving to fit the changing media landscape.
Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse national and regional account list across multiple platforms by creating, selling and delivering cross-platform programs for clients * Track competitive set marketing activity, positioning and events in relevant categories in order to identify and grow new business * Manage a diverse national and regional account list across multiple platforms Develop deep client relationships to be able to deliver specific customized solutions * Ability to have strategic conversations with full spectrum of decision makers: from business leaders, to media directors & front line planners/buyers * Ability to develop and execute business plans to reach and surpass defined revenue goals * Confident networker who showcases their passion and enthusiasm for the Ad Age brand at industry conferences & events * Consultative sales approach to close new business
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of ad sales or business development * Enthusiasm, high energy, and focus; you are highly detail-oriented and have the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment * Experience in and knowledge of digital marketing and social media * Strong sales & presentation skills * Knowledge of the market, the competition, the clients &/or the industry * Autonomy and self-direction * Well-developed client and marketplace relationships
