Summary
Come work for Twitch as a Business Development Manager on the sales team! The BD team works in a dynamic environment where rapid-fire innovation meets rock-solid execution. Our overarching goal is to further establish Twitch as the leading social video platform and community for gamers through growing platform value, incubating new business models, and driving revenue through partners. The Business Development Manager sits under the sales org and will be responsible for building new partner relationships, negotiating and closing business deals, ensuring best-in-class project execution.
Responsibilities
* New Business Development * Pilot new initiatives and business agreements in markets, evaluate their impact on the business and determine the most effective scope/approach for any follow-on rollout * Support in all aspects of deal execution, including prioritization of partners, strategic and product assessment, transaction structuring and negotiation * Plan approaches and pitches that speak to client’s needs, concerns, and objectives * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately * Management and Planning * Collaborate with other Twitch departments to ensure best-in-class project execution * Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels * Submit weekly pipeline reports and ensure data is accurate.Attend industry events and conferences, provide feedback and information on market trends
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of relevant Business Development experience, particularly with major Tech/Media companies * BA in business, economics or relevant field required, JD or MBA preferred * True understanding of the gaming/entertainment industries and the Twitch platform * Proven record in developing, analyzing, and modeling business cases * Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills * Experience crafting deals as well as understanding of legal agreements * Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills * Excellent internal/external communicator, with ability to communicate complex details simply * Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements * Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity * Can-do attitude **Bonus Points** * You’re an avid gamer * Previous experience with consumer tech startups
