The company’s games are accessible on mobile platforms, Facebook, and other social networks, as well as Zynga.com. It also provides advertising services to advertising agencies and brokers.
Zynga is looking for a Director of Business Development to join their growing team! We need a key player who will be a self-starter and responsible for contributing to and ensuring the execution of our business strategy globally for mobile and social. This position is focused on building strategic relationships across a variety of areas including distribution, licensing, revenue generation, marketing and technology. Experience in the games industry is a plus but not necessary. It’s critical though that you have meaningful business development experience with a track record of sourcing, negotiating, closing and managing your own deals.
- Identify new partnership opportunities and assist in prioritizing, structuring, negotiating and closing deals
- Develop strategy to 1) extend Zynga properties to new platforms, 2) license existing brands for new games, 3) grow studio revenues, 4) increase marketing awareness, and 5) utilize new technologies/services that improve our games
- Work with all relevant divisions of Zynga (including Finance, Engineering, Production, Marketing, Ad Sales, Tech-Ops, and Programming) to generate consensus and execute key initiatives
- Maintain relationships and optimize existing partnerships
- Strong background in business development and strategy, with at least 5 years of experience
- At least 3 years direct experience working in the mobile, gaming, media or internet services industry
- Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, negotiating, closing and maintaining deals
- Deep understanding of the mobile application ecosystem, as well as social/mobile gaming
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- MBA and/or JD preferred.
