Summary
This position is for temporary employment only. A temporary employee is one that is assigned to work on an intermittent and/or unpredictable basis.
Responsibilities
Must have 10 years utility electric distribution experience and capable of performing the following tasks: * Identify the difference between electrical lines and telecommunication lines. * Identify Overhead and Underground electrical facilities including primary and secondary wire, service wire, pole mounted transformers, fuses, gang switches, reclosers, regulators, padmount transformers, padmount switch gear, etc. * Identify all distribution electrical repairs required for restoration. * Read and understand a distribution circuit map and label where facilities are in need of repair. * Complete client specific damage report. * Identify the difference between customer owned facilities and utility facilities. * Prepare a construction sketch complete with a materialist for a line crew to utilize to restore damaged facilities. * Available to work the daily hours required by the client utility until completion of the restoration process or until released. * Identify the difference between customer owned facilities and utility owned facilities * Utilize GPS, binoculars, cell phone, and/or client radio as necessary. * Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times while engaged in the restoration process. (Provided by TRC Solutions, excludes clothing and footwear) * Possess a valid driver’s license. * Field time 95% * Travel out of state to areas affected by severe weather. These areas might have limited power and facilities. Time out of town might be for periods of two weeks or longer. * Be able to work up to 16 hours per day.
