Summary
The position will be responsible for managing applications within the Supply Chain at Toys R Us. The team member will manage several Jr. and Sr. Business Analysts while supervising and managing a technical support team. The team member needs to be able to manage large projects while acting as the subject matter expert for applications they own.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for all user communication for issues, activities and actions across the applications. * Oversees the enhancements of retail Warehouse Management System at Toys R Us. * Participates in the design, implementation and deployment of project initiatives driven from the business to improve operations within the distribution center. * Interacts with users of functional applications and IT partners to understand the organizational needs and anticipate ways in which technological solutions can enhance the business processes. * Works with other team members to ensure that initiative details are aligned with the business solution. * Responsible for answering and resolving challenges that are presented during project life cycles. * Communicates with user community to help them understand the impact of the solution, the project's timeline and expected functionality. * Develops and continually updates knowledge about the technical infrastructure and applications in use. * Participates in the design of the implementation plan. Oversees the development of training and support plans for the users of the application. * Provides continuous process improvements based on business needs throughout the course of the project. * Manage support team to provide a stable application environment.
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years’ experience within a Retail supply chain environment. * Understanding of basic warehouse management functionality is critical. * Strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate and work effectively with other specialists. * Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and to manage and resolve conflicts. * Strong organizational skills, communication skills, ability to understand and explain issues to colleagues and users from both a technical and a business functional point of view. * Ability to communicate goals and objectives to team members, ability to communicate and to write effectively. * Warehouse management concepts important * Knowledge of Open VMS a plus
