Summary
The Assistant Marketing Activation Manager, TRU is responsible for facilitating the development, execution and project management of marketing plans across all channels for all promotions. The Assistant Manager coordinates the efforts of many cross-functional teams including Brand Marketing, Creative, Production, Merchandising and Store Operations to ensure clear and accurate marketing communications to customers. This individual will report to the Senior Marketing Manager for Toys”R”Us.
Responsibilities
* Responsible supporting the execution and management for TRU promotional plans across all channels to support the business (Brick & Mortar and Dotcom). * Plan, develop and provide project management support for the execution of meaningful promotional events to drive traffic and revenue * Assist in developing and managing guiding principles and customer experience across all promotional channels * Build and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships and adapt to the ever-changing processes and schedules that the retail business requires * Provides direction to creative team through brief writing for marketing executions including print, direct mail, email, and rich media/display. * Responsible for offer management of all promotional vehicles both traditional and non-traditional * Manages requests for changes and prioritizes schedules and workload based on business needs and available resources * Effectively ensures assigned projects are approved by key players and are produced accurately * Serves as day-to-day point of contact regarding project details, status, and execution
Ideal Candidate
* 3-4 years relevant Marketing/Project management experience, managing multiple advertising projects simultaneously and accurately while working in a fast-paced environment * Retail experience preferred * Highly developed time management and organizational skills. Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously * Must be able to adapt communication styles and channels as appropriate for the audience * Ability to work successfully in a high-paced, dynamic and high-pressure environment. * Ability to effectively and creatively problem solve. * Excellent written and oral communication. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * The successful candidate will work extremely well with others, always act with a sense of urgency, provide solutions, and be able to manage multiple priorities at once.
