Data Scientist for Search

Redfin is a technology-powered real estate brokerage that represents people buying and selling homes. Redfin.com features all of the broker-listed homes for sale, as well as for-sale-by-owner properties. Redfin real estate agents work with the company's team of engineers to create tools that make the buying and selling process easier.

In the Data Scientist, Search role you will help us understand and improve key digital conversion funnels such as our tour checkout and listing consult request processes. You’ll work with terabytes of clickstream data, as well as the most robust real estate data sets available. You’ll automate manual processes, guide A/B test design and analyze results, promote self-service analytics through Tableau, and employ a host of techniques (regression, decision trees/random forests, neural nets, SVM) to uncover insights and inform key experience changes and strategic decisions. You’ll partner with Product Management and Engineering, predominantly, but will also work with Marketing teams.

* Successful: We're looking for someone with at least 3 years of on-the-job experience who has already made a big impact * Sharp: These problems are tough! You should have outstanding analytical and quantitative skills. A M.S. in predictive analytics, mathematics, statistics, operations research, computer science, engineering or one of the hard sciences is required. Candidates with a B.S. and 5+ years of practical experience considered.
