Summary
The Manager of Business Development, Harpoon cultivates new and grows existing digital strategic account relationships. This individual will partner with a Regions advertising sales team of 15-20 Sales Reps, with overall functional responsibility for delivering digital growth in our most important accounts. This individual monitors the competitive landscape, sources leads, and leverages their respective knowledge and contacts to ensure MNI’s visibility and success in the market.
Responsibilities
* Support the Regional AEs with their existing Harpoon accounts: * Join reporting calls, provide advice, meet with clients, work with internal Harpoon team to remove obstacles * Strategize on ways to grow existing business * Work with Regional Director to identify new Harpoon opportunities: * Create an overall Regional strategy for new business development * Lead acquisition of Harpoon prospects: * Inform internal Harpoon team, determine the deliverable: Harpoon Pitch, Strategy Deck or Recommendation * Partner with reps to bring the prospect to fruition: recap emails, follow up materials, determine next steps
Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years digital experience within advertising, publishing, or an integrated media company. * Deep experience selling digital and a broad understanding of the digital advertising landscape is essential. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with and influence many functions and levels within the company. * A strong, demonstrated track record of achieving tough, demanding goals in the digital space. * The ability to self-motivate and take the initiative. * A clearly demonstrated history of developing cooperative relationships both internally & externally.
