Content and Publications Business Manager

As Content and Publications Business Manager within Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB), parent company of COUNTRY Financial, you will be responsible for the execution of various multi-media content, advertising management, and production aspects of FarmWeek and FarmWeekNow.com operations, including but not limited to the maintenance of billing, accounting and budget information for advertising sales. The position also manages custom print and digital content for county Farm Bureaus that utilize IFB communications platforms.

* Schedules all production, including the coordination of special printing projects for IFB divisions, affiliates, county Farm Bureaus. Responsible for electronic pagination of the classified and editorial sections of the print edition of FarmWeek using Adobe InDesign or similar software. * Works cooperatively with county Farm Bureaus to schedule and coordinate county Farm Bureau print and digital publications and content. * Oversees creation, scheduling, placement, billing, and reporting of all FarmWeekNow.com advertising. * In cooperation with Digital News Manager, manages digital versions of FarmWeek and Partners. * Coordinates all special print advertising products, including securing quotes on special printing needs and the development of schedules. * Assists the Advertising Sales Manager, Content & Publications Editor, and Digital News Manager in the preparation of the FarmWeek and FarmWeekNow.com advertising portion of budgets. * Serves as a technical support person in negotiating contracts with print and digital contractors. * Assist in working with advertising sales representatives and graphic designers in processing of all (print and digital) advertising copy, layout, and design. * Serves as the production contact person with affiliate company advertising departments and IFB divisions to schedule print and digital advertising, including but not limited to FarmWeek, Partners, FarmWeekNow.com, and ILFBPartners.com. * Works with other divisions and departments, and the Membership Records & Services Department in particular to secure labels for both full run and split run edition(s) of publications. Coordinates with printer(s) to ensure proper distribution on split run issues. * Works with Digital News Manager and Sr. Social Media Specialist to manage social media paid advertising. * Works with Membership Records & Services Department in dealing with United States Postal Service issues and rules and regulations pertaining to the IFB periodicals. * Serves as backup to Advertising Sales Assistant. * Performs other related work as required or requested.

**Required Qualifications:** * Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of print and digital production experience. * Knowledge of print and digital composition using graphic design computer programs and digital content management systems. * Basic skills in recordkeeping (elementary accounting) and project management. * Skills in work-flow organization acquired in a production environment with tight deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications:** * College degree in communications that includes print and digital publishing or marketing. * Background in print and digital publishing. * Knowledge of PC computer and pagination programs (Quark Xpress and InDesign). * Knowledge of print publication printing process and budgeting process. * Knowledge of United States Postal Service rules and regulations. **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift 15-20 lb. containers on occasion.
