Responsibilities
Responsibilities Strategy - Establish, develop and communicate the global CVM strategy. Partner with the VP of CVM and relevant business partners in Merchandising, Marketing and Retail to define and evolve the ongoing CVM strategy. - Obtain, write and synthesize all briefs for the CVM creative team. Ensure all projects are successfully delivered and provide project reviews as necessary. - Own and manage the global CVM calendar and ensure the regional teams have the CVM assets on time for installation. Efficiently communicate any delays or changes to the CVM roll out schedule to both the regional team and any impacted business partners such as Retail/VM/SD/PR. Consider the broader impact of decisions on the business as a whole and explore a range of alternatives, as necessary, in formulating solutions to common issues. - Measure outcomes, monitor consistency and report back on CVM presentation across all markets. Project Management and Operations - Guide the CVM Production teams to ensure the timely delivery of all CVM assets to markets at a critically strategic level, in collaboration with the CVM Group Creative Director. Communicate the long and short-term priorities of the department to the Production, Communication, and Finance teams. - Collaborate with the regional CVM teams to ensure that all CVM requests are briefed into the correct central CVM department in a timely manner and regional variances are tracked, considering global consistencies. - Partner with Creative Group Director to ensure the design and production integrity of all CVM assets is as specified. Lead the CVM Production team through the management of design reviews with the central creative team and regional CVM teams. Ensure regional needs are received and understood, adapting communication as necessary, while continually aligning the globally consistent creative visions. - Manage, cultivate and negotiate the CVM vendor base to deliver exceptional CVM assets within budget. - Implement a system to ensure the CVM budget stays on track and support the Sr. Analyst-CVM in budget management and allocation. Ensure the allocated (and appropriate) dollar amounts per project are identified and that overages are flagged in a timely fashion and reconciled on a quarterly basis. Visual Merchandising - Lead the Visual Merchandising team to define, communicate and develop the global VM guidelines for al product presentation. - Partner with the Merchandising and Retail divisions to ensure all new product stories and strategies are successfully implemented and communicated to the regional CVM and GM teams. - Communicate effectively to all CVM regions and cross-functional teams to provide timely information on up-coming VM initiatives, projects and global roll-outs. Leadership - Establish a strong and visible leadership presence to a team by fostering teamwork, building trust and collaborating productively. Delegate and empower employees while holding them accountable for their work. - Appropriately influence cross-functional teams to ensure an integrated approach and encouraging candid debate, sharing of different perspectives, and management of any resulting conflict.
Ideal Candidate
Required Qualifications - 15+ years management and leadership experience in merchandising, visual display, styling, events or related areas - preferably luxury retail - Strong communication skills - Ability to successfully communicate to a varied audience in both written and spoken form - Experience creating presentations with analytical rigor - Ability to present ideas and information in a group situation - Demonstrate the ability to influence without authority - Ability to travel globally - Strong management skills and an ability to partner closely with regional markets and various departments Strong business acumen - Exceptional organizational, communication and negotiation skills - Ambitious, enthusiastic and flexible - Innovative thinker - Ability to work with a variety of personalities - Basic computer skills required: email/Outlook, Microsoft Excel & Word Preferred Qualifications - Experience in creative industry - Comfortable in and appreciative of a luxury retail setting - Basic knowledge of jewelry and jewelry display a plus
