Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing timely and accurate decision support to Sr. Management for ongoing operations and strategic projects. The role is responsible for budgeting, planning, forecasting, financial analysis, financial performance reporting, and ad hoc analysis for Sr. Management as well as interpretation, analysis, and communication of financial results.
Responsibilities
* Identify and analyze key metrics that add insight to company performance and communicate information back to stakeholders * Build strong relationships across functions within the company and maintain an open flow of communication, to build a deep knowledge of current events in the business * Proactively seek to improve financial and operational processes to drive effectiveness and efficiencies throughout the organization * Reporting to the CFO, support business analytics requirements across the company * Lead/coordinate special projects * Own Long-Term Corporate Financial Model * Create and model scenario analyses and effectively communicate effects of changes in assumptions * Report to functional management on results of operations against their budget and forecast
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with experience working in a venture-backed SaaS company. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and changing priorities. Excellent communication and presentation (written and verbal) and interpersonal people skills are required as this position will work with many groups both within and outside the company. * Experience in corporate financial analysis, management reporting, accounting, forecasting for internal and external audiences * Excellent financial modeling skills * Demonstrated business partnering and decision support skills * Demonstrated ability to build and/or influence cross-functional processes * Strong computer skills, including Excel and software tools * Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization * Solid organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely and professional manner, manage multiple priorities, and mentor finance staff * Excellent presentation and messaging skills * Quick learner, self-motivated, team player * Software background and MBA preferred
