Summary
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist designs, develops, evaluates, and adjusts solutions to identified Learning and Development needs of individuals, client groups, and the general Planning and Buying populations. Leveraging project management skills, they act as a resource for and take ownership of internal and external programs and materials. They design and develop programs on targeted topics, such as leadership skills, onboarding, and functional training, using adult learning theory and accelerated learning techniques.
Responsibilities
* Evaluates, anticipates and conducts needs assessments; providing recommendations based upon assessment findings. * Creation of work and project plans; design of appropriate solutions (training programs, individual / manager coaching, group facilitation, etc.); * Uses the most relevant technology to develop learning strategies to meet the needs of the entire population and learning styles. * Evaluates results and adjusts programs as needed. * Evaluates, designs and adjusts Planning and Buying Learning curriculum as well as the processes associated with that curriculum, to meet identified business needs and support the people strategy * Partners with the broader TJX Learning and Development/Human Resource Business Partners as needed (through coaching, co-facilitation, contributions to projects, etc.). * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field; or equivalent experience * 2 - 4 years’ experience in Learning and Development, * 2-4 years in project management and/or instructional design roles * Strong communication skills * Problem solving skills. * Proven track record of conducting needs assessment, course design, and measuring effectiveness of course content.
