Summary
Performs monthly close functions and reconciliations of all cash related accounts to ensure the integrity of disbursement, concentration and depository accounts for T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods. Analyzes cash forecast from various departments to ensure accuracy and reasonability in an effort to prepare accurate monthly Cash Flow forecasts for corporate reporting. Prepares various analyses on store cash and/or disbursement clearing, as it relates to Cash Flow forecast, to identify trends and ensure accuracy of bank accounts.
Responsibilities
* Performs monthly bank reconciliations for disbursement, concentration and depository accounts for the home office and distribution centers. Researches reconciling items on the bank reconciliations with the appropriate departments to ensure timely and accurate resolution of such items. * Prepares the monthly Cash Flow forecast and supporting analyses for estimating the month end cash balance to be reported on the financial statements. Assists with month end close ensuring that all department journal entries have posted correctly to the general ledger. Prepares month end accruals to ensure accurate reporting on financial statements. * Performs the daily ACH transfer of store cash, for all domestic divisions, from the individual store demand deposit accounts to the home office concentration accounts ensuring Corporate Treasury access to funds in a timely manner. * Prepares analyses for ensuring accuracy and identifying trends related to the monthly Cash Flow forecasting (i.e. disbursement clearings, store cash balances). * Prepares payment for bank service charge invoices and supporting analyses of pricing to ensure accuracy of all line items. * Performs or assist with special projects as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. * Excellent knowledge of accounting principles * Strong reconciliation experience * Strong analytical skills * Strong Excel skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills
