Responsibilities
The Enterprise Data Architect provides advanced technical support in the research, experimentation, business analysis and use of systems technology including architecture, integration capabilities and database management. High Level Data Architecture Tasks * Define and Implement Enterprise Data Vision and Strategy * Enterprise Data Scoped Roadmap * Enterprise Data Standard * Enterprise Data Model * Enterprise Data Governance Functions and Frameworks * Enterprise Data Technology Use Map * Enterprise Information Analysis Maps * Reference, Master, Meta Data and Document Practices * Set Goals and Measure * Data Project Progress * Data Quality Improvements * Data Compliance Level * Sponsor, Lead and Participate in Enterprise Data Initiatives Other responsibilities include: * Providing technical and data leadership to the application development group, IT and the enterprise including being conversant with and cognizant of the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise. * Working closely with other IT groups to coordinate current and future plans and activities, including coordination and technical assistance to facilitate specific development projects that involve the computing environment, the coordination of software upgrades and the installation of new products. * Recognizing and identifying potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. * Define vision, strategy and principles for data management. * Define standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modeling, cleansing, enriching, The transforming, moving, storing, searching and delivering all data within the enterprise * Serve as the liaison between data consumer representatives and data solution development, Data integration and governance teams Architect * Inform and interpret data project sponsors * Must understand how data is, or will be, used and implication on people, processes, products and technology

Technical Competencies: * Logical Data Modeling - Knowledge of activities, tasks, processes, deliverables and techniques for analyzing and documenting conceptual/logical data models to capture domain knowledge and business rules. * Data Warehousing - Knowledge of tools, techniques and practices for collecting, storing, organizing and dispensing information from and to multiple sources. * SQL Server - Knowledge of and ability to use the SQL Server database system in a production environment. * Database Design (Physical) - Knowledge of tools, techniques and practices for efficient and effective design and support of physical databases. * Database Structures - Knowledge of a database management structures (relational, hierarchical., distributed...) and associated platforms. * Oracle Administration - Knowledge of and ability to install, maintain and administer Oracle databases.
