Summary
We are looking for a HUNTER to grow the Engineered Polymers business in North America. As a New Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities within a subset of the existing customer base as well as opportunities for new applications at new customers with a focus on material replacement. You will manage the entire new business development process from prospecting to closing optimizing sales growth and profit margin across all product lines, while maintaining our commitment to world-class customer service.
Responsibilities
* Lead the new business development activities to generate new business for the Engineered Polymers business in North America. * Identify and evaluate market opportunities to be able to enter new and growing applications, identify and support the launch of new products. * Comply with administrative requirements Develop and implement aggressive new business development plans that align with the business strategy and that will grow the North American business. * Partner with internal R&D, Marketing, and Operations groups to ensure projects are progressing accordingly and customer commitments are fulfilled. * Develop, negotiate and close sales contracts and agreements. * Engage closely with Marketing to identify and evaluate new, high value opportunities. * Represent Lubrizol at trade shows, conferences, and at local industry association, and regional marketing meetings.
Ideal Candidate
* Hunter – 5+ years of proven success at generating new business in the industrial / manufacturing industry (experience in the Engineered Plastics market is preferred) * Demonstrated success in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs * Influential – Capable of appropriately challenging others to drive business results * Bachelor’s degree * Willing to travel 60% of the time
