TCSPP has been an innovator in the field of psychology and related behavioral science since 1979. TCSPP offers more than 20 degree programs and a wealth of opportunities for international experiences.
We are currently searching for a Director of Admissions to join our Los Angeles, CA Admissions Team. The successful candidate will be an articulate, organized, dynamic, and enthusiastic team player; with excellent organizational and management skills. He or she will have proven experience in creating positive changes and achieving benchmarks; the ability to foster collaborative relationships; the ability to effectively communicate with multiple constituents; excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills; and an ability to lead. The successful candidate is dynamic, self-motivated, able to multi-task, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional, and rapidly growing institution.
- Build a successful Office of Admission.
- Manage inquiries and applications.
- Assume responsibility for meeting enrollment goals and recruiting a qualified class.
- Provide direct supervision, planning, inspiration, and motivation to the Office of Admission.
- Act as primary liaison to Lead Faculty/Department Chairs regarding enrollment goals, admission decisions, as well as engaging them in the recruitment process.
- Build relationships, and closely communicate with institutional directors.
- Ensure timely review of applications, files, communicating with students, and the proper selection of students.
- Manage, coordinate, conduct and analyze all weekly, monthly and annual reports (including monthly and annual reports from admissions events and recruitment efforts).
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of recruitment including: fairs and community organizations.
- Assist in developing a yearly strategic plan and recruitment calendar.
- Manage and develop a budget for the office of admissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Relationship building, public speaking, and writing skills
- Organizational planning capabilities
- Staff management, including motivating performance to goals
- Event planning/coordination
- Computer skills including word processing, database management and power point
- Creativity in identifying, reaching, and recruiting student markets
- Valid driver’s license and personal car
- Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends
- Ability to represent, recruit, and work within a diverse community
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Five to six years of admission experience with progressive growth is required.
- Experience managing, developing, and training a staff.
