Retail Franchise Training Manager

Tesoro Corporation, a Fortune 100 company, is a leading independent refiner and marketer of petroleum products with a strategically focused presence in the western United States. Tesoro, through our subsidiaries, owns and operates seven refineries with a combined capacity of over 895,000 barrels per day. Our retail-marketing system includes over 2,400 retail stations under the ARCO®, Shell®, Exxon®, Mobil®, USA Gasoline™, Rebel™ and Tesoro® brands.

To manage the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs and performance support tolls for the Franchise and dealer businesses. Leverage the current or future technology infrastructure to address the training and performance support needs of the business by identifying, designing, developing, and implementing systems including: Learning Management System, Knowledge Management System, and Collaboration & Communication tools (Live meeting, Adobe Connect, Sharepoint, etc.)

* Lead the team through all aspects of design, development, delivery and evaluation of curriculum and performance support tools. * Identify and coordinate internal and external resources, including vendors that provide learning and development services to achieve curriculum creation. * Manage the learning and development budget. * Consult with senior management, field operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of learning and development initiatives with business goals. * Maintain knowledge of industry trends and instructional design best practices to provide strategic guidance and benchmarks to the business on learning and development approaches. * Accountable for the configuration, testing, integration, deployment and maintenance of the training and performance support tools and systems.

* Undergraduate degree is required. * Minimum 6 years of related experience is required. * Specific experience in designing and delivering training preferred. * Excellent written and communication skills. * Technical working knowledge of web, databases, eLearning tools, etc. * Instructional design and skillful presentations.
