With the proliferation of new channels and social, local, and mobile, now is a very exciting time to be advising marketing departments. We are looking for a seasoned sales “hunter” to generate revenue by aggressively focusing on prospecting and developing new accounts for our Marketing Operations (MRM) software solutions and services. This position will have an assigned geographic territory reporting to the area Sales Director. Preferred candidates will be located within the designated territory.
Responsibilities
* Prospect, recruit, and develop new customers and generate revenue through the positioning and sales of our Marketing software solutions, within the assigned territory. * Develop new and creative ideas to be used in grass roots individual account prospecting and broader segment specific targeted marketing campaigns. * Forecast sales targets. * Attend various sales events including meetings, seminars and training. * Use sales database and applications for account targeting, prioritization and management. * Prepare account reports and statistical data.
Ideal Candidate
* History of success in new business prospecting and account development * 5 years experience selling digital marketing applications and/or integrated enterprise software solutions to the Marketing department - CMO, VP Marketing, Marketing Operations, Strategy, Planning, Production or Creative Organization(s) * Experience executing a complex sales cycle closing deals comprised of software, implementation services and managed services in both on premise and cloud based environments * Proven track record of performance in a hunter role selling enterprise solutions * Strategic Account Planning and consultative selling pedigree * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Self-starter with extensive latitude for independent thinking and judgment * Strong time management skills and proven work ethic * Highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative * Influential; perceived by prospective client as credible and consultative * Executive presence, presentation and communication skills - both written and verbal * Demonstrated ability to develop skills necessary to become a Subject Matter Expert in Digital Marketing and execute an end-to-end consultative sale * Team player who can embrace collaboration and lead internal sales peers and stakeholders in a coordinated sales effort * Passion for winning * Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%
