Summary
**The Agile Coach** is responsible for the agile education of Product Teams in order to establish common understanding of agile principles and frameworks across Product Teams. They will evaluate Product Teams in order to identify opportunity for improvement around agile adoption, and help these teams improve their practices and more effectively embrace agile. This role will also be accountable for developing the strategy and plans around how to achieve the Product Team agile educational goal. **The Agile Coach** will be the resident expert of agile principles and related methodologies and practices within the Product Team organization. As such, these individuals will need to be involved with internal and external agile networks in order to stay current on best practices and strategies related to this way of working. Partnership and learning are cornerstones of the agile mindset, thus the Agile Coach will need to actively participate in the thought leadership within these Agile communities and seek out opportunities to continuously improve their own skills in order to better support the Product organization. • Participate in external professional organizations relevant to one's field. • Attend conferences, trade shows, or industry events. • Develop a network of professional contacts outside of the organization.
Responsibilities
**Training and Certification** The Agile Coach will be responsible for understanding training and learning materials and approaches and detailing the principles of agile and framework. They will develop strategies and plans around how to share these materials with the Product Teams, and thus be accountable for ensuring all Product Teams understand these concepts and how they apply to the working processes of the Product Teams. The Agile Coach will be responsible for the active coaching of Product Teams in order to provide more "hands-on" direction in the moment. In addition, the Agile Coach will be responsible for coordinating with any external agile coaching vendors who may be required to support the supplemental coaching, education and training of the Product Teams. • Ability to write and develop instructional content (including training programs, written procedures, or any other instructional material). • Identify learning objectives for a particular audience. • Schedule product teams for training or certification programs. • Deliver formal instruction to others (for example, lead classroom training or certification sessions). • Coach teams and show others how to do tasks on the job. **Consulting and Process Improvement** The Agile Coach will be responsible for coordinating with partners outside of the Product Teams in order to align agile coaching strategies and practices based on Scrum, Kanban and other frameworks. The Agile Coach will work closely with partners, particularly Scrum Masters and Engineer Managers, to evaluate how teams work together, develop strategies around how agile principles can be effectively leveraged to improve the ability for Product Teams to deliver, and ultimately ensure these concepts and practices are reflected in the coaching provided to the Product Teams. • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that newly-implemented systems or procedures are working as planned. • Promote enterprise-wide adoption of best practices and repeatable processes. • Plan and/or execute studies of complex work problems, procedures, or systems. • Provide subject matter expertise to others outside of own work group (e.g., internal customers, merchants, vendors). • Partner with other teams (e.g., internal customers, merchants, vendors) to define needs and implement solutions.
Ideal Candidate
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** * Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, Product Owner, etc.) * 2+ years Agile coaching experience * 4+ years Agile work experience on Agile teams * Leading large organizations/enterprise through Agile and product team transformations * Leading coaching and learning programs for product teams **DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:** * Lean, Continuous improvement experience/certifications * DevOps experience (build automation, test automation, test driven development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Development (CD), Infrastructure as code, etc.) * Technical/development experience (java/other coding, scripting, infrastructure development, application development)
