Summary
The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician will focus on industrial refrigeration projects and accounts throughout the Denver Metro area and Rocky Mountain Region. This experienced Industrial Refrigeration Technician will work on a wide variety of systems and projects and will have the opportunity to manage their own portfolio of business, and grow professionally alongside the organization.
Responsibilities
* Perform service of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment * Diagnose and repair chilled water systems, cooling towers, large control systems, Building Automation Systems, complex conventional electrical controls, and industrial refrigeration systems including ammonia, cascade and rack systems * Pump down and dismantle existing systems, as necessary * Utilize strong technical expertise and ammonia refrigeration knowledge to properly serve customers, company and team and support continuous organizational growth * Function as a leader * Communicate diplomatically, professionally and effectively with all internal and external customers * Inspire confidence in customers and build strong client relationships * Actively take ownership of portfolio of business provided and multi-task projects and client needs strategically * Provide training to building owners and Rocky Mountain Mechanical apprentices * Maintain appropriate safety standards at all times
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience * Experience with single / two stage and economized reciprocating and screw compressors * Mechanical, electrical and PLC / Control systems and associated schematic diagrams * Experience troubleshooting industrial refrigeration systems * Knowledge of current IIAR, RETA and OSHA regulations * CIRO, CARO or OSHA 10/30 certified * Valid driver’s license * Able and willing to pass criminal background check and drug test * Bachelor’s degree preferred * Able to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with customers about work being done, current and future service and system needs and progress on work * Competent, calm and communicative demeanor in order to instill confidence in customer * Business oriented – take ownership of portfolio of business and strategically organize work schedule to best suit the customer need and business growth of RMMS * Driven to meet and exceed business goals * Motivated to be part of the RMMS future vision
