Summary

Minimize equipment downtime by repairing day to day breakdowns on a variety of manufacturing production equipment with specialization in areas of blower/filler, labelers, packer, bema, palletizer, injection molding, etc. Investigate root cause failure analysis and implement corrective measures/system improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Train operators, mechanics and supervisors on technical procedures related to high speed bottle manufacturing
  • Work directly with management on assigned projects
  • Set and enforce highest standards in safety and GMP’s plant-wide
  • Sidel/Krones lines – transfer technology for Niagara personnel to help develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in the following:blow molding machines, filler, capper, labeler, conveyor, Down Stream, day coding and testing systems.
  • Husky technology – transfer technology to Niagara personnel to help develop operating and troubleshooting procedures with the following:  injection molding and auxiliary systems, find root cause problems with pre-form quality issues, and develop operating procedures including preventative maintenance programs.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential function of the job.

  • Required:
    • 2-4 years – Years of experience in field
    • 2-4 years– Years of experience in position
    • 0-2 year(s)– Years of experience in supervision
  • Preferred:
    • 3-5 years – Years of experience in field
    • 3-5 years – Years of experience in position
    • 0-2 year(s) – Years of experience in supervision

Competencies

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming. Siemens S7, AB.
  • Zenon and HMI programming/troubleshooting experience.
  • Advanced schematic reading skills
  • Manufacturing communication network protocols troubleshooting/programming. B&R, Modbus, etc.
  • Motor drive programming and control. Frequency/Servo. AB, Danfoss, Acopos, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical experience
  • Blow molding, injection molding or previous beverage experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Sidel, Krones and packaging preferred

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • Associate's Degree: Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree: Electrical/Electronic Engineering
