Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the CFO in running the business operations of Targetbase. Functions include financial forecasting, planning, reporting, analysis, P&L closure, audit support, corporate reporting and analysis, purchasing and invoice approvals, among other tasks. The role will work across all departments to provide a range of support to internal customers, including management and senior business leaders to effectively operate the business, evaluate new initiatives, set/adjust policies and procedures, and other ad hoc projects. The Senior Financial Analyst will have high exposure to senior management and must become a trusted partner across the organization. This role is expected to be the CFO’s “right hand”.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts, corporate financial reporting and analysis, internal operational & management reporting * Partner with CFO and other managers to understand the business economics and KPI’s that drive success at Targetbase * Develop and maintain Excel models that help drive business insight, improve efficiency and elevate service to our internal customers * Lead agency and departmental variance analysis to support and drive management decision-making * Identify trends and opportunities in Targetbase’s financials, investigate, understand the drivers and provide recommendations for decision-making * Assist the CFO in the creation of management and corporate reporting and presentation packages * Assist and take ownership of monthly P&L close process, partnering with the CFO and Accounting to properly prepare the P&L, investigate variances, correct errors, assemble accruals, etc * Review and approve an company-related expenditure purchase order requests, and review, approve and direct the accounting/payment of company-related vendor invoices * Assist the CFO and Accounting in the periodic audit process * Partner and/or take ownership of any internal initiatives that have a financial impact * Potential to assist in contract and pricing review * Other ad hoc projects, as needed
Ideal Candidate
**Performance Expectations** * 5+ years of prior FPA, Finance or Accounting work experience with a proven track record of success * 4-year college degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience * Highly analytical with superb attention to detail and accuracy * Self-starter able to expand on up front direction and run * Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Must have strong Excel skills (Pivots, arrays, nested formulas, filters, etc). VBA a plus * Team-oriented with strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships with various levels and types of personnel * Inquisitive and curious, always looking to find new insights * Highly organized and able to meet multiple and competing deadlines * Cognos, Thomson Elite, ServiceNow experience a plus * Service industry or marketing experience a plus **Experience & Education** * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance * 5+ years of prior FP&A, Finance or Accounting work experience **Position Requirements** * Overtime as necessary
