Summary
Summary Department Description: Engineering IT team is responsible for solution expertise and managing end to end critical engineering process & design applications. This includes strong partnership with engineering community to meet their current and future business strategies. The team also is responsible for the research, analysis, requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration of software features, and all software management, integration and validation activities to support engineering teams. In addition, the team provides technical and other leadership in working through issues with other teams and follow up of issues to conclusion.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: * Responsible for the technical aspects of the PPRM solution which includes requirements gathering, designing, development, configuration, coding, code reviews, application installation, performance tuning, code deployment, patch installation and interface development. * Interact with various groups including business, security and architecture during requirements, design, integration, user acceptance testing, and deployment. * Deployments and support of code in the various environments (test, quality, production, etc.) * Develop operational, technical and any other required project documents * Transfer knowledge to support team
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications: * Experience with PPRM tools like Planisware, Planview and CA Clarity a must. * Hands-on strong experiences in the functional areas of Resource Management, Project Management, Project Accounting and Reporting & Analytics * Experience with Portfolio Management, Roadmapping and Innovation Management a plus * Expert level knowledge with minimum of 5 years of PPRM configuration, development experiences in large and complex enterprise environment, interface development, software development, code deployment and patch installation * Experience working with different types of data sources including Oracle, MS SQL, ODBC, flat file, XML, etc. * Expertise in PPRM configuration and code development best practices and performance tuning to ensure optimal performance of the application and the interfaces. * Strong experience with troubleshooting PPRM application and interface performance issues, fine tuning custom code. * Experience with administration of Servers Solid understanding of software development life cycle including change management and version control practices * Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills * Working well in a collaborative, team environment as well as independently * Strong problem solving and team player skills Candidate will have a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related discipline preferred plus a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Engineering Portfolio, Project & Resource Management (PPRM) applications
