Summary
This is a challenging opportunity to lead idea generation, analytics, and client presentations around capital management for a selected group of North American based clients and prospects in Divisions Americas & Globals - to not only originate transactions but also support client management in deepening the client relationship and dialogue. This requires converting broad knowledge of (re)insurance, corporate finance, regulatory frameworks, rating agencies and capital markets into commercially viable business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Develop and promote the value proposition of reinsurance solutions as a pro-active element within clients' capital management toolkit * • Join pitch/marketing efforts as part of a deal team * • Participate on transactions through execution, as needed * • Contribute to Client Action Plans/Strategy Papers on transactional opportunities * Help develop and maintain Business Development's toolkit including: * • Modeling and illustrating the cost/benefit effects of reinsurance solutions under different capital regimes (eg.,AMBest BCAR, S&P, economic) * • Performing financial flexibility analysis and assessing other financial and strategic measures of key clients * • Identifying key trends/issues and their potential impact on clients, including simulating the value impact of solutions presented to them * • Interfacing regularly with Products colleagues to develop new solutions and optimize existing ones as a result of emerging and changing client needs * Help develop Associates and Assistant Vice Presidents in BD.
Ideal Candidate
* Good knowledge of Life & Health industries (preferably both) * • Good understanding of primary insurance markets, trends, and products * • Good combined knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, solvency and ratings capital models as well as company valuation drivers * • Strong communicator, particularly with an aptitude for sales * • Out-of-the-box thinker; comfortable working on solutions across varied solution types and skill sets * • Attention to detail * • Ability to prioritize and apply sound commercial judgment * • Ability to support deal team execution as a team member, and at times, project leader
