Production Engineer

Under the direction of management, exercises responsibility for execution of Engineering strategies and tactical plans at (HIAMS)AM sites. This position develops priorities and objectives in cooperation with each site management team and oversees implementation. Position serves as a corporate resource to all Engineering staff and management teams at all sites. This position exercises independent judgment routinely and operates within established guidelines.

* Coordinates the design and planning by performing any combination of or all essential duties and responsibilities of assigned projects. * Handles the development, evaluation, and improvement methods while emphasizing the implementation of quality, efficiency, process, costing, and equipment improvements for numerous simultaneous projects within the specific department. * Resolves problematic issues and recommends and implements improvement efforts related to specific areas of technology, equipment and processes for a variety of areas within the department. * Oversee project efforts of subordinates with appropriate departments to ensure efficient and effective review and implementation for completed job tasks. * Contacts vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. * Exercises excellent verbal and written communication skills while working with other Engineers, other departments, and customers in a leadership capacity as well as be able to draw, read and interpret schematics.
