Summary
Style Crest, Inc. is a 45-year-old privately held company that specializes in manufacturing, distribution and installation of building products designed for manufactured homes, residential site built homes and commercial buildings. We have an excellent career opportunity available for a Business Development Manager to join our team to develop, recommend and execute business strategies for growing our residential housing business.
Responsibilities
* Develops business strategies for growing our residential housing national accounts, buying groups, and key customers and prospects. Develops and implements action plans to ensure we achieve the sales growth, margin and profit goals for the national account channel. Establishes long term strategic goals for RH accounts that result in growth through new and existing national accounts. * Challenges how we can serve the market to create a “unique niche” for Style Crest. Defines creative sales programs and promotions that fit the customer needs and specific market requirements for the residential channel. Works with marketing and the sales teams to create and implement these programs. * Manages pricing, annual rebates, marketing funds, and other customer programs for the national account channel. * Develops and maintains strong business relationships with the key contacts within existing and prospective national accounts, buying groups and other target customers. * Evaluates strategic factors that could impact sales objectives such as sales trends, competition, economic factors, business conditions, changing customer and market needs, and customer strategies. Makes recommendations for changes and ensures accuracy of information used to make strategic decisions. * Communicates proactively with internal groups (Sales, Inside Sales, Operations, Marketing, Credit, Finance, and Executive Management) any significant impacts to these strategies and/or to resolve customer problems. * Works collaboratively with the sales teams to identify opportunities and implements strategies to capture new business. * Participates in all applicable trade shows, meetings, conferences and events related to the industry.
Ideal Candidate
* Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or related business field with at least 7 years of progressive sales experience including national account responsibility. * A thorough understanding of the building products industry and these market channels are required. * Significant experience working with large 1 and 2 step distribution is required as well as a solid understanding of buying groups with experience selling to them. * We are looking for a creative thinker who will challenge the norm and think differently about how to serve the market. * Candidates must have proven relationship building successes and understand the business development process with the ability to close a deal. * This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical, planning, decision making and problem solving skills and demonstrated success at building and executing business plans. * Candidates must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills and be proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook. * Prior CRM experience is preferred. * We are looking for someone who embraces new ideas and the willingness to change and be different. * Candidates must be willing and able to travel 3-4 nights per week frequently and either live or being willing to relocate to the Northwest Ohio area.
