Summary
Manages the sales process and back-office including order processing and fulfillment, order scheduling, and the assembly of sales and commission information. Gathers and analyzes information to determine product allocation, quotas, channel/dealer inventory, etc. Typically prepares and monitors the sales department budget. Supervises, with operational focus in area of functional expertise. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for results in terms of costs, strategies and employees. Single function, location, organization, product, or technical discipline. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, and operational policies. May participate in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.
Responsibilities
* Leading a work group to develop broad programs and projects in support of organizational and Area strategies while communicating and translating functional/operational goals into team goals (typically has 2-3 direct reports). * Collaborate with internal HQ and Area teams to drive optimal project plan development with Regional methodology and frontline insights in mind. * Develop and cultivate effective relationships with cross-functional HQ teams and Region Operations leaders to understand needs / gain efficiencies across team functions and continually drive improvement. * Prioritize Region requests based on value, impact to our frontline and customers, as well as other needs of the business. Success is measured by impact and thoroughness of planning, ensuring all frontline needs are cared for and adopting a “find a way to yes” mentality. * Identify business / customer issues and work with appropriate teams to create resolution in order to create an optimal customer experience. * Show initiative, anticipate and prepare for upcoming situations, take advantage of opportunities, acting quickly and decisively, addressing issues before they become problematic.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school * Five years in sales, sales operations, HR and/or sales support * Three years supervisory or management experience * Two years sales and compensation systems and tools experience
