Summary
Responsible for the execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotions for the retail division. Also, is responsible for the development of stores and products as a lifestyle brand. Responsible for the implementation, execution, and evaluation of all retail sales, promotions, and special events. Additionally, the position will integrate relevant competitor and customer information into the planning process as a basis for the development of future marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
• Ability to work on multiple independent strategic marketing initiatives with minimal supervision. • Create Marketing and promotions calendars. Evaluate all past campaigns with written analysis in a timely manner. Analyze data to support Marketing programs and initiatives, which determines what works and doesn’t. • Oversee lease required advertising programs for specific retail properties. • Work closely on a store by store basis to address specific marketing/promotional needs. Monitor troubled stores and recommend programs to elevate them to profitable operations. • Create targeting advertising campaigns for stores including radio, direct mail, billboards, newspaper advertising, and more. • Execute Retail Marketing in translating Corporate Marketing initiatives into programs for the Retail stores. • Work closely with Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution. Ensure that deadlines are met. • Work in tandem with Operations & Visual team to ensure effective communication to the field and store management. • Build strategic grassroots marketing campaigns for all stores. • Travel Skechers retail stores as well as competitors to evaluate marketing initiatives with written reports and recaps. • Develop and manage brand materials budget. • More as determined. • Other special projects as assigned. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** • None at present. Potential for future supervisory responsibilities as the department expands.
Ideal Candidate
• Must possess excellent computer skills including MS-Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator a plus. • Developing and implementing sales and marketing campaigns to provide revenue growth for the retail division. • Must demonstrate a high degree of expense awareness and control. • Proven conflict management skills. • Flexibility to frequent changes and ability to react quickly. • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships and lead large cross-functional teams and projects to success. • Self-starter with high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency. • Must have the ability to work on a project by project basis that is driven by deadlines rather than always a consistent schedule. • Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy. • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and priorities. • Travel 10% locally and 5% domestically. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** • Must have at least have 2- 4 years of successful experience in a Marketing Position. • Retail experience preferred. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Highly Proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator a plus. • BA or BS in business or marketing or related field is preferred, but not required. • Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis on marketing campaigns to judge effectiveness. **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
