ScaleFactor Partners is seeking a Senior Software Developer to add to our expanding engineering team. ScaleFactor is a high-growth organization bringing a new-age, IT-driven approach to the accounting and finance arenas of both start-up and scaling companies. Successful candidates must possess the entrepreneurial drive & spirit to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Our team is in need of another talented developer that has the Development knowledge and has the passion to create high-quality products. The position allows for the opportunity to have a direct impact in all areas of ScaleFactor, now and in the future.

The ideal candidate is comfortable having responsibilities that vary significantly month over month, some of which will include the following day-to-day activities * Contribute to the design and development of product features * Help build out ScaleFactor’s development platform * Showcase logic/solution-driven thinking * Take the initiative in a team leader role * Work with product and other internal teams to build cross-team functionality and troubleshoot issues Current Tech Stack is: Rails, Ember.js, Postgres all running on Docker Containers

**Demonstrated Skills & Mindset** * Goal oriented, high energy, ability to work in fast-paced environment * Technology savvy, can-do attitude, and approach * Problem-solving and proactive decision-making * Adaptability and resourcefulness to drive results * Highly self-motivated and versatile * Technological optimist looking to create **Qualifications** * 5+ years of experience * Expert application and/or web app experience is a must * Expert object-oriented programming skills * Expert in a *nix environment (Linux or OSX), with fluency on the command line * Experience designing software and/or the capability to build maintainable, future-focused software * Experience with distributed software (native or web app) * Experience solving large application and user level problems such as performance and scalability * Experience writing bootstrapping/extensible applications * Experience with web security * Experience with REST APIs * Experience with SQL, and familiarity with databases such as Postgres * Lots of debugging experience * Experience with Java or Rails is a plus * Experience with Ember.js is a plus * Experience with Digital Ocean & Amazon Web Services (AWS) * BS or BA in math, engineering, computer science or related field is preferred
