Senior Project Manager

RetailMeNot is a leading digital savings destination connecting consumers with retailers, restaurants and brands, both online and in-store. The company enables consumers across the globe to find hundreds of thousands of digital offers to save money while they shop or dine out.

RetailMeNot seeks an experienced Agile project driver to lead teams in releasing most valuable features, and iterating and continually improving mobile web and app experiences. Must be a dynamic relationship-builder and cross-team collaboration enthusiast. Scrum Master/Coach/Mentor for an engineering team, delivering a full product evolution, two weeks at a time. Should be a natural at guiding and protecting team’s sprint commitments, keeping all eyes on the business prize. Will coordinate across 1-2 development teams to improve efficiencies, ensure quality code and deliver what RMN customers want

• Act as Scrum Master for 1-2 Agile teams
• Facilitate team meetings, such as daily scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews
• Remove and resolve team impediments and dependencies
• Collaborate with Developers, QA, UI/UX, Content and Product Management to establish effective teams and processes with predictable output
• Assist with the Release Management for one or more projects, ensuring tickets are releasable, running pre-release meetings and scheduling release windows
• Manage project risks and cross-team dependencies
• Monitor and track team roadmaps and milestones
• Manage team JIRA boards, Confluence sites, calendars, mailing lists and chat rooms
• Create agendas and record minutes for all meetings
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Meeting management including scheduling, taking notes, ensuring right people are involved
• Push project status to teams and Leadership

• Proven 5-7 years working experience in project management in the information technology sector
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires frequent shifts in focus
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and take initiative to solve problems
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to think strategically, creatively, and judiciously
• Attention to detail
• A technical background is a plus, with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Project Management Professional Certification
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices; Agile certifications a plus
