Summary
Successful candidates will work closely with the Operations team and leadership to manage the entire project lifecycle of multiple initiatives from conception, to implementation, and through multiple stages of deployments and testing. Our Project Manager will help define our deliverables, their timelines, and drive our projects to successful completion in order to ensure game services are available and performing well.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with system engineers and database administrators to ensure project goals and expectations are clear, and delivered on-target and on-time. * Help define and refine clear priorities, expectations and commitments and measureable progress points against those. * Help navigate adjustments to existing schedules and commitments due to unplanned triage activities that required immediate attention. * Assist in defining deliverables and distribution of the team's cycles per week. * Consistently track and confirm that desired progress against milestone goals is being achieved. * Help streamline and adjust our project management processes to suit this team's specific workflow needs, while helping increase the reliability of crushing our goals and meeting the needs of the game and the game developers. * Manage partner vendors (software, hardware, consulting) and closely track status, identify dependencies, and help us make adjustments to our project timelines when vendor delivery timelines change. * Assist in chasing down and defining requirements for complex or lesser defined requests of the team. * Gather and refine documentation to clearly communicate project highlights and overall status with both internal team and a wide array of audiences around the company.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other related technical or project management related major. * 3+ years of direct experience defining IT, Operations or software development projects and their deliverables with a proven track record of managing them successfully. * Knowledge of infrastructure (hardware and software) and related technologies such as network, distributed computing platforms, virtualization, databases, and application development. * Understanding of agile project management techniques and best practices. * Ability to generate, explain, and present detailed schedules, milestone objectives, status reports, and other documentation clearly and accurately. * Proficiency in multiple software tools or PPM system to manage projects and facilitate related communication, including and not limited to a Excel, Bug Tracking Programs (i.e. TestTrack Pro, JIRA, Bugzilla), Word, MS Project, PPM system, Visio, and PowerPoint. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. **Pluses** * Strong hands-on experience with the Kanban and/or Scrum process, task definition and prioritization, and confirming the targeted goals have been met. * 2+ years in a systems engineering or software developer position for large-scale software development, online services for a high-volume of customers, or other complex online operations effort. * Scrum or PMI Certifications (PMP, ACP, CSM, etc.). * Experience communicating and increasing awareness regarding the status and successful completion of projects. * Able to understand and analyze financial data e.g. costs/ benefits analysis, ROI, capitalization rules, etc. **Skills** * Strong project management skills. * Strong team spirit. * Exceptional, clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written). * Ability to motivate team members. * Strong resource management skills. * Strong organizational skills and unwavering attention to detail. * Self-driven and ability to work independently. * Ability to develop and maintain good relations and communicate with people at all hierarchical levels. * Ability to reconcile technical and business perspectives. * Passion for Rockstar Games and our titles.
