We have openings on our Accounting and Finance Practice Team for General Accounting and Finance Consultants. This role is responsible for supporting Resources Global Professionals (RGP) clients with both project and operational requirements including business process reengineering, financial system conversions, merger integration, assessment and implementation of new accounting standards, reconciliation of complex accounts, and execution and improvement of internal and external financial reporting. This role requires hands-on experience with the accounting close process, the flow of transactions and data through financial systems and the reporting and analysis of financial information. Consultants must possess excellent communication and relationship management skills to successfully manage teams, engage with stakeholders, and collaborate with others. * An MBA or undergraduate degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience * Public Accounting and/or experience in accounting/finance role with a Fortune 1000 company * Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Experience with month-end close process * Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting, business process and financial system issues * Ability to analyze transactions, accounts and reports at both detailed and an executive summary level to ensure appropriate and efficient accounting and reporting * Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access skills * Experience working with and/or implementing financial systems including SAP ERP, Oracle ERP, JD Edwards, Hyperion HFM and Hyperion Planning * Excellent verbal and written communication * Demonstrated experience working with Senior Accounting/Finance Leadership * CPA preferred
