Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with Real Estate, Development Engineers, Development, Permitting and Construction teams from project inception through completion to help identify and resolve real estate matters; - Act as the primary conduit for translating title and survey matters into schedules, site designs, and project constraints, reviewing various phases of site plans to ensure any title and survey matters are correctly reflected on project development plans;Subject matter expert regarding title and survey issues, resolution strategies, and timeframes for generation, revisions and resolutions. - Order and track title reports; review title reports in connection with real estate agreements, surveys and site plans; effectively identify title issues requiring resolution; proactively manage resolution with third parties in connection with project development schedule. - Coordinate and review ALTA Surveys with land surveyors, title companies and legal counsel. - Identify, coordinate and review legal descriptions and plats associated with project real estate documents and project site plans. - Analysis and coordination of procuring crossing consents, crossing agreements with third parties, including conveying requirements to Construction team and contractors. - Manage and maintain budgets, scopes of work and invoices for land surveyors and other consultants; draft compliance language for contractors and other documentation as necessary. - Support the Real Estate, Project Finance, and Legal teams to prepare, review and finalize all real estate documentation required for construction financing. - Experience coordinating transaction closings preferred: opening escrow accounts, preparing draft agreements, coordinating signing of closing documents with counterparties, and reviewing settlement statements.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** - Real estate development experience required, preferably in greenfield development and renewable energy projects. - Proficient with real estate documents and terms disclosed in title reports. - Land surveying experience (desk and/or field) - Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat - Auto CAD experience a plus - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills; ability to add value through creative input and forward thinking - Positive attitude and willingness to chip in in a dynamic and fast-paced environment - Takes initiative, anticipates issues and proactively seeks resolution - Ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels - Strong critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve - Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm - Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product - Ability to uphold standards of complete discretion and confidentiality and exercise sound judgment - Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines **Experience & Education** - Bachelor’s degree required - Minimum of 5 years of real estate development and surveying and/or title experience
