- Be the digital design lead for Wideband Audio Codec
- Work in a cross functional environment involving Analog and Mixed Signal, Software and Audio Systems as well as Design Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Silicon Characterization and Validation and Consumer Engineering organizations
- Oversee design reviews, documentation and project schedule
- Be hands-on in all aspects of design flow including methodology, architecture, micro-architecture, performance modelling, design for low power, implementation and verification.
- Be proficient in state of the art VLSI implementation (RTL to GDS) flow. This includes coding, simulation, emulation and simulation acceleration, front-end RTL integration and processing, synthesis and constraints management, PPA analysis methodologies, DFT/MBIST, timing closure and PD aspects of the design.
- Work closely with Design Verification in order to ensure quality and completeness of test plans, successful functional coverage closure and ultimately first time right silicon
- Be hands-on with low power design and implementation techniques
- Be experienced in analog and mixed-signal IP integration
Minimum Qualifications
At least 15 years of industry experience with the following:
- Successfully lead VLSI/ASIC design teams from product specification to tape out.
- Hardware description languages (Verilog, and System Verilog), RTL design, simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Design verification methodologies (coverage closure, formal methods etc).
- Audio DSP implementation and architecture.
- Identifying architectural, micro-architecture and implementation strategies to optimize power, performance and area for a given set of features.
Preferred Qualifications
- Design experience with Audio CODEC products for cell phones or other consumer electronics (CE) devices.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple ongoing projects over possibly geographically distributed teams.
- Experience with audio algorithms e.g. Low Power Voice/Audio activation, Speaker Protection and Active Noise Cancellation
- Microprocessor and/or Digital Signal Processor architecture and design for audio applications.
