Cadence is a leading provider of EDA and semiconductor IP. Our custom/analog tools help engineers design the transistors, standard cells, and IP blocks that make up SoCs. Our digital tools automate the design and verification of giga-scale, giga-hertz SoCs at the latest semiconductor processing nodes. Our IC packaging and PCB tools permit the design of complete boards and subsystems.
Summary
The DSP Product Marketing Manager is responsible for product marketing of Cadence’s current and next generation Xtensa DSP hardware solutions. The ideal candidate possesses processor and DSP architecture experience with a desire to apply that knowledge to drive the definition of world-beating products. He/she will work with engineering and segment marketing in shaping the feature set of new DSP products and defining the product roadmap. Will analyze market and competitor trends to help ensure that Xtensa processor and DSP technology remains state of the art. He/She will serve as a communications conduit between engineering and marketing, and also between marketing and the field teams for product-related issues. Will collaborate with all other members of the marketing team to bolster the technical accuracy and depth of marketing messages in all forms (presentations, technical papers, articles). Responsibilities
* Identify new opportunities and define future product requirements for Xtensa DSP instruction sets, including authorship of comprehensive Market Requirements Documents. * Responsible for tracking and disposition of new feature requests from customers, engineering, and other marketing teams. * Manage all phases of the product marketing lifecycle for assigned products. * Work with Technical Publications team to insure that all documentation is accurate and clearly presented. * This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
Ideal Candidate
* BSEE or equivalent required. MBA preferred. * 5 or more years of total relevant work experience. Experience in semiconductor or semiconductor IP marketing is required. * Must have a working knowledge of microprocessor and DSP hardware and instruction set architectures, ASIC design implementation methodologies, and software development tools and methods. * Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. **Travel:** * Occasional travel, including international travel, will be required. **Work Environment:** * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
