Summary
SRC, Inc. is currently seeking an engineering program manager to lead the development of innovative radar and electronic warfare systems in our Syracuse, N.Y. office. In this position, you will need to lead the development of next generation systems and be immediately integrated into design teams to solve difficult technical problems.
Responsibilities
* Lead design teams from early conceptual design through detail design, integration and test * Provide technical and programmatic direction to a multi-disciplined team consisting of software, RF, digital, systems and mechanical engineers, as well as other support personnel on a daily basis * Lead design reviews and program reviews, assessing technical progress and tradeoffs * Meet program cost and schedule commitments * Provide weekly and monthly project status both internally and to customer organizations * Develop staffing plans, coordinate resources, and develop and maintain schedules * Contribute both as a technical resource and as a manager * Serve as primary customer contact for assigned programs * Represent the organization in assigned marketing and business development activities including proposal development
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science is required, master's degree is preferred * A minimum of 10 years of hands-on design experience in the development of radar, electronic warfare systems, or other sensor systems, including three to five years of engineering program management experience * Must be a proven technical team leader with project lead experience on engineering development programs * Must have strong technical skills in a core area (systems, software, RF or digital design) coupled with experience designing complex hardware/software systems * Must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast paced, informal environment * Experience working on advanced technology development contracts with government research labs (e.g., DARPA, AFRL, NRL, ONR, I2WD) is highly desired * Experience leading or authoring technical proposals highly desired * 10 percent travel is required * Top Secret/SCI and SSBI is highly desired **Security Clearance Requirements** An active Secret security clearance and current investigation are required.
