Responsibilities
- Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications
- Creating a work break down structure to aid in the managing of task assignments and schedule
- Actively participates in organization’s software development policies and procedures
- Recognizes software programming problems/issues and begins to provide solutions
- Communicating project schedule, budget, delivery issues and resource concerns to the Project Manager
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced with Java
- Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Experience with an Object Oriented programming language
- Understanding of Relational Databases
- Experience with Open Source Software
- Knowledge of software build and deployment processes, procedures and tools
- Geo Tools, Geo Server, UTS, Spatial DB (Ex. Postgis, Oracle Spatial), Web Mapping (Ex. Open Layers, Google Maps)
- PostgreSQL, JPA2, Hibernate, JBoss/Wildfly
- Wireshark
- JMS, JaxB
- Web Services (Ex. REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Knowledge of AngularJS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
