Summary
This is an inside sales position, engaged in growing productive business relationships with Web Agencies and System Integrators, engaged in developing and delivering web and mobile applications, and custom business application development and integration solutions. There is occasional overnight travel. **If you were part of our team, here are some of the things you would have done last week:**
Responsibilities
* Drove the partner to preferred commitment to Progress Software technologies and services * Facilitated the interaction between our direct sales team in the pursuit of client new business sales and expansion opportunities * Identified business opportunities related to the development of the channel, thus contributed to the overall business development efforts * Developed, communicated, and implemented the business plan within the prescribed territory * Used insight and consultative techniques to teach partners about their industry and offer unique perspectives on their services practices which link back to Progress Software, digital transformation solutions * Owned the relationships inside partner organizations and the joint go to market message * Coached partner business development teams to increase their Progress Software sales volume and deal size * Worked with marketing to develop and execute channel marketing programs * Worked with direct sales team and oversea the management of the partner sales pipeline * Collaborated with partners in defining partnership objectives and executing mutual plans to achieve them
Ideal Candidate
* 2-3 years of progressively increased responsibility within the web application and digital user experience software solutions and solutions integration sector * Demonstrated success in establishing and managing client relationships * Good grasp of web application technologies and systems integration, and a strong desire to learn and ability to master new technologies within a relatively short period * Understanding of sales and CRM forecasting methodology from early opportunity identification, and ability to move deals through this process * Ability to tailor communication to partner needs at the functional role level, with strong verbal, written and presentation skills * Uses rational and emotional drivers that would appeal to partners to drive compelling business conversations and momentum * Thrives on relationship building while challenging partners to think differently about their business
