Responsibilities
As a recognized leader in highly focused agile software development, Pivotal Labs has been building high reliability software for over 20 years. We work with startup and enterprise clients to build web and mobile applications. We also developed Pivotal Tracker, the project management and collaboration tool used by thousands of software developers worldwide. In addition to our software development and UX design practices, Pivotal Labs has a rapidly growing Product Management practice. We serve as interim product managers for clients who are looking to build successful products quickly. We work closely with founders, product owners, designers, engineers, and users to ensure the right product is defined, prioritized, and built. - You will collaborate with client product teams to understand their product vision, and break it down into an actionable backlog of user stories for development - You will work hands-on with developers and designers to define, prioritize, and deliver digital products that meets client's business goals and is useful, usable and feasible - You will help clients understand our iterative development approach and focus on delivering a Minimum Viable Product through early validation and deliberate prioritization - You will mentor and train client product managers by coaching them on lean, agile and XP methods - You will identify potential client success stories and share with Pivotal marketing team - You will help innovate and iterate on lean and agile product management processes and share what works and what could be better
Ideal Candidate
- You have 5+ years of product management experience, especially with web-based products and user-centric design thinking - You are skilled at defining, validating and prioritizing product features - You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others - You can work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making - You collaborate well with engineers, designers, and clients - You can demonstrate previous success working with an agile development team - If you have a background in design or software development, that's a plus
