Summary
As a Channel Solutions Sales Specialist at Pitney Bowes, you will work with the team to identify potential sales opportunities and key decision makers, initiate contact and use persuasive sales techniques to generate sales. You see opportunities where others see challenges.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll join our Small/Medium Business (SMB) Solutions team in the Shelton, CT and report to the Inside Sales Director. You will be responsible for: • Achieve assigned quota of Logistics and Mail Creation sales across all product segments — Logistics Software, Fold Inserter, Mail Software, Hardware plus billable services associated with these products. • Work with new and tenured sales force to impart systems training to enable and grow the channels expertise in selling systems products • Conduct training sessions, marketing meetings, one-on-one floor training as well as track marketing training activities and measure success against results • Identify and research available marketing information, define and prioritizes and track all system sales opportunities for the channel sales force. • Conduct systems seminars and product demonstration days on a bi-weekly basis. • Direct channel systems "blitz" days, and work with individual representatives to analyze and plan access to channel opportunities. • Work one-on-one with sales representatives to conduct sales calls for developmental and true selling purposes. • Conduct pre-call strategy meetings, facilitate other aspects of selling team involvement, and support pricing decision-making and SIP process. • Assist Sales Representatives in creating Multi-Carrier and Mail Creation Analysis/Return On Investment(s). • Develop and support strategic alliances and otherwise work as directed by Solutions Sales Director.
Ideal Candidate
• 2 - 3 years business-to-business sales experience required. • Multi-level selling expertise (e.g. shipping, mail center and marketing management through CEO). • Consistent pattern of sales success-achieve sales goals and grow territory. • Computer and applications literacy to include end-to-end workflow experience within the last (2) years required. • Strong sales presence with demonstration skills and indirect selling exposure. • Consultative skills — internal, external and solution-selling.
