Summary
The Senior Marketing Specialist is accountable for assisting in planning and executing key marketing strategies, messaging, promotional plans and builder focused communications designed to change residential homebuilding practices in North America. This position is responsible to help drive demand and communicate a consistent message within the market for Owens Corning. The Senior Marketing Specialist will partner within the business unit and will coordinate marketing initiatives with both internal and external constituents to meet regional and national builder needs, creating business growth opportunities for our transactional insulation contractor customers.
Responsibilities
**Develops and executes Marketing Strategies (approximate time 90%)** * Understands the Residential Insulation product portfolio and overarching marketing plan. * Understands builder-focused marketing strategies and contributes to the development and execution of tactics to solve builder business issues and drive fundamental changes in homebuilding practices * Identifies and supports key deliverables to achieve pre-defined performance metrics * Works with Marketing Leader and builder-focused sales representatives to define customer- centered value proposition work aligning with builder segments and geographic markets * Develops and coordinates a consistent message across all marketing tools including but not limited to: ComfortBuilt™ marketing portfolio, website, social media, collateral, technical materials, builder presentations, samples. * Develops a practical understanding of building science principles and practices by working closely with Owens Corning Building Science Team * Leads the in-market execution of Builder 20 Clubs strategy including planning and executing local marketing club events throughout the US, enrolling and supporting builder-focused sales representatives. * Interacts directly with builders as needed to align internal and external stakeholders in delivering value-added marketing support * Learns and leverages CMS systems to update websites with key information and new literature or works with vendors to make changes as needed * Manages sales lead generation and activation process, leveraging internal tools and external suppliers to achieve an active lead nurturing strategy * Executes all materials including collateral, displays, presentations, videos, web updates, etc. * Leads executing marketing message and needs for all trade & customer shows/events. * Travels to industry and marketing events as needed to support customers and continuous learning/self-development * Strives to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to advance to Marketing Lead role **Coordinates Process Execution for Residential Insulation Marketing Team: (approximate time 10%)** * Manage analytics reporting for websites and strategic social media channels * Manage all messaging templates, processes and tools for builder focused marketing strategy * Manage Marketing Communication process and record retention for Residential Insulation Business in accordance with Owens Corning policy * Manages PO/Invoice/Budget process for Residential Insulation **Metrics:** * Speed of execution on initiatives * Feedback from Builder Marketing Team * Predetermined metrics for reporting and business processes * External transactional and indirect customer feedback
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree * 3-5 years previous experience in marketing, sales or marketing communications * Construction knowledge and/or previous industry experience preferred * Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities * Ability to manage outside marketing resources * Ability to travel up to 25% of time **Experience:** * Working in matrix organizations with multiple distribution channels and influencers, and having held operational accountability across geographic boundaries * Demonstrable successful experience working “market-back” * Executing business and marketing strategy for a sizeable business segment * Leading/managing marketing agency partners to deliver strategies and tactics on time, on target, and on budget * Effectively managing multi-million dollar budget * Previous experience with Data Management Systems and updating Content Management Systems for websites and social media channels **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** * Effectively brings thought leadership and diverse points of view together to formulate solutions that meet both customer and business segment objectives * Business acumen * Shows independent judgment.
