Responsibilities
* Primary responsibility is to improve and maintain the technical competency of staff performing commercial inspections and surveys for clients and OSI. * Provides technical assistance during preparation, site visits or when completing written reports. * Is an immediately available resource when on site at client locations to provide technical assistance that may be needed to assess scope of exposures, hazards and controls along with appropriate recommendations. * Provides technical guidance to Regional and Field Managers to assist them in understanding and correcting technical issues surrounding reports returned for corrections. * Develops client use materials and provides technical guidance to assist policyholders, underwriters, and clients understand recommendations developed during inspections and surveys to assist with compliance. * Keeps current on technical issues and alerts management on changes in safety regulations and safety consensus standards that affect inspection and survey processes. * Provides technical assistance in updating, developing and reviewing report templates used for various underwriting coverages and programs. * Develops technical resource materials to assist in the on boarding process. Assists in developing training materials for Loss Control clients.
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to manage time and perform responsibilities with little/no supervision. * Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate OSI staff and clients to improve technical knowledge and capabilities * Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA standards and other safety consensus standards * Ability to interpret technical standards and develop client use materials to make them easily understood * Knowledge and skills using personal computers and MS-based office software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work/communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts. * Demonstrated ability at developing loss control client use materials and client training programs
