Summary
The Marketing Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the Marketing commodity area of Oakley located in Foothill Ranch, California. This position is responsible for development and implementation of procurement strategies, creating the highest value (low cost/high quality) program in accordance with corporate policies and business requirements. Executing the North American Indirect Procurement (NAIP) collaborative sourcing model work closely with internal stakeholders, across North America (Oakley, LRNA, Lux US) to analyze, develop and implement continuous improvement. Directly lead strategic sourcing initiatives and conduct the competitive RFP process, supplier selection and contracting process.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with corporate procurement processes and procedures. - Sourcing events/quotes as designated by the Sourcing team within IPNA. - Gather and analyze commodity relevant data such as spending, Days Paid Outstanding, usage trends etc and report to key stakeholders on a quarterly basis. - Responsible for meeting several department KPIs, including, but not limited to, cost savings, customer satisfaction and spend under management. - Leading and Partnership with Marketing Functional Area - Vendor Management, Sourcing, Bidding, Negotiations - Reporting on materials/services costs, agency fees, payment terms - Procurement leadership with Marketing and Related Functions - Procurement Process Development and Back Office coordination - Facilitates and leads efforts to improve procurement systems and processes. - Develops cost savings steps or programs as required. - Serves on cross-functional teams as the departments purchasing representative. - Back up for Purchasing Director. - Completes other tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in purchasing, business, applicable technical degree, or years of equivalent experience. - 2 - 5 years in procurement, marketing, digital and management. - Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement processes. - Marketing knowledge - General understanding of Accounting and Finance. - Specific knowledge/experience with the requisition to purchase order process. - Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred. - Demonstrated leadership skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction at all levels of the organization. - Understands and demonstrates the ability to communicate differently based on the audiences need. - Ability to lead and work on projects in a team environment and across functions. - Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks. - Desire to implement change and possess a passion for customer service. - Strong organizational and prioritizing skills. - Strong planning skills coupled with results orientation. - Solid analytical and PC skills including working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
