Summary
The PLM Manager oversees the day to day operations and personnel of the three functional units of PLM; determines the strategic direction of the department; develops and instills the optimized workflow; monitors and reports departmental strategic progress; accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; plans and evaluates departmental activities.
Responsibilities
**Team Member Development** * Develops team members to be thinking parties, capable of determining the correct course of action for any specified change. Acts as decision maker in areas of unknown process. * Manages Design Team – oversees design staff to ensure that optimal production design processes are taking place. Determines application of best practices. Strategically designs workflows to assure minimum amount of necessary time is spent in each step of the process. * Recruits, selects, orients and trains employees; maintains a safe, secure, and legal work environment; develops personal growth opportunities. **Team/ Process Accountability** * Manages Change Analysis – guides daily process adherence and improvement. * Analyzes current state of change for the product lifecycle on a frequent basis. Determines correct timelines for completion of change requests, orders, projects and programs. Builds practices and processes that optimize the daily continuance and completion of change for the organization. * Managing Master Data - analyzes product master for anomalies and presents findings to MD team for resolution. Oversees daily workflow of team, ensuring compliance to established objectives and protocols. Guides master data team in best practices of master data management * Reviews cycle times of key change order types to understand allocation needs * Manages process development of PLM department, analyzing current procedures and optimizing for greater efficiency and effectiveness. * Develops accurate and meaningful reporting for internal stakeholders of all levels. Serves as the primary communication party of such reporting. * Is the escalation point for internal and external parties. Analyzes and resolves internal and external customer service problems while identifying trends and recommending root cause fixes * Serves as a primary Agile design architect, developing optimal workflows, objects, and attributes in support of organizational goals and needs. **Collaboration** * Collaborates with internal and external parties on projects of both specific type and process improvement. * Coordinates work of the functional teams within the department, understanding larger objectives and balancing the workload to assure optimal throughput * Develops, executes, and evaluates strategic and tactical direction of the department. Synthesizes larger organizational goals and objectives into the departmental workflow and systematic design. * Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and KPIs. * Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifies and evaluates trends and options; chooses a course of action; defines objectives; evaluates outcomes. * Willingness to travel when required (10%)

**Work Experience/KSA’s** * Required: * 7-10 years – Experience in Product Lifecycle or other related field * 5-7 years – Experience in Position, Design, Product Data and Management * 3-5 years – Experience Supervising Employees * Preferred: * 10+ years – Experience in Product Lifecycle or other related field * 7-10 years – Experience in Position, Design, Product Data and Management * 5-7 years – Experience Supervising Employees **Competencies** * Planning/Organizing - uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks * Detail oriented and accurate - minimizes mistakes, follows every step in a process and follows through with all tasks.
