Summary
The Site Operations Coordinator (SOC) supports New Classrooms’ programs in 2017 based on the specific needs of a school and as determined by the organization. The SOC is responsible for providing on-site operations, technology, and help desk support in New Classrooms partner schools in the surrounding area. This is a seasonal, temporary and non-exempt employee position. Under the supervision of a Site Operations Manager, successful Site Operations Coordinators ensure that the Teach to One program is run smoothly and successfully delivered on-site at our partner schools. A strong candidate will have exceptional communication and organizational skills, be able to handle multiple work streams at once, be detailed oriented, be comfortable working with technology, and demonstrate a strong interest in working independently in schools.
Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and issue management of New Classrooms’ program in a portfolio of approximately 2-3 schools, with support and supervision by a Site Operations Manager, both onsite and remote * In coordination with the Site Operations Manager and school staff, develop and maintain systems and routines that enable this unique program to run smoothly in a school environment * Assist teachers with the preparation of printed materials and technology * Establish strong relationships with key school staff that maximize their investment and partnership in TTO implementation * Work with school technology staff to manage hardware, security, and technology readiness and troubleshoot tech issues * Monitor network performance and performance of program related tools * Work with the Site Operations Manager to create a weekly schedule, which may include travel between multiple school sites * Oversee communication between school staff and New Classrooms’ central operations team and report operational and technology issues to central operations * Support roll-out of new program features and other projects as needed * Participate in ongoing company and departmental meetings and trainings
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrated interest or experience in being part of a school community, and/or educational setting * Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and operates with purpose, urgency, and accuracy * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Experience working in highly collaborative environments preferred * Ability to multi-task by balancing competing needs and priorities * Ability to create effective processes and procedures for students and teachers * Tech savvy and comfortable doing basic troubleshooting in a Windows/PC environment * Strong problem solving skills * Ability to be scheduled between the hours of 7:00am – 4:30pm with a maximum of 40 hours per week * Bachelor’s degree a plus
