Responsibilities
**Job Description** - National Geographic Channels is seeking an enthusiastic, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment. The Sr. Manager, Consumer Marketing & Brand Strategy will lead all consumer brand strategy development and media planning for the world’s definitive premium science, adventure, and exploration networks. - The ideal candidate will fuse a passion for television knowledge, creative thinking and strategic insight to drive cutting-edge marketing strategies for an iconic brand with a rich history in immersive exploration and first-rate storytelling. - The Sr. Manager will be responsible for driving ratings and awareness for Nat Geo and Nat Geo WILD through the development of integrated campaign strategies that are seen through to execution. Marketing/promotional plans include all paid off-air communications channels, such as broadcast, digital, print, OOH, non-traditional/experiential and strategic partnerships. - Based at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C., the National Geographic Channels US are a joint venture between National Geographic and Fox Networks. The Channels contribute to the National Geographic Society’s commitment to exploration, conservation and education with smart, innovative programming and profits that directly support its mission. - Role will support the Director, Brand Planning & Media Strategy. **Responsibilities** - Develop strategic positioning documents informed by research, insights and competitive intel - Coordinate with internal/agency partners to create fully integrated marketing campaigns across all platforms and touchpoints (broadcast, digital, print, radio, OOH, experiential, etc.) - Manage execution of marketing campaigns in collaboration with other departments across disciplines (On-Air, Digital, Social, PR, etc.) - Facilitate collaboration between all NGC/Fox divisions and external partners (vendors, agencies, etc.) - Generate strategic partnerships that reinforce the NGC brand, provide incremental value to marketing campaigns and deliver mutually beneficial exposure for all parties - Lead post mortem analysis for all off-air priorities and apply findings to enhance future campaigns - Monitor industry trends and consumer habits, staying ahead of the curve to inform and apply cutting-edge media strategy and tactics - Budget tracking and invoice coding for campaigns and initiatives - Create and deliver internal presentations and contribute to interdepartmental task force meetings
Ideal Candidate
- College Degree - Minimum of 5 years marketing experience; TV/Film/Entertainment experience preferred - Excellent organizational and project management skills - Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast paced environment - Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
