Summary
Contributes to the Test Business Segment (Product Sales/Marketing and Service) by providing Human Resources leadership and consulting expertise that is focused on people strategies that enhance business performance. This position may be focused on HR generalist responsibilities, as well as on organizational effectiveness consulting. Overall, this role will contribute to developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating high performance programs, systems, and tools that align with the business strategy and create or reinforce a culture based on strategic competencies, motivations and behaviors. This role may also spend a significant amount of their time partnering with the business by providing organizational effectiveness consulting in organizational design and implementing change management strategies to support the growth of the Test Business.
Responsibilities
* Partners with hiring managers and internal Talent Acquisition group to assess staffing requirements, develop effective recruiting strategies, and make staffing decisions resulting in quality hires that further overall business objectives. * Coaches managers on utilizing performance management and development systems to further business plans and objectives. Ensures effective partnering with managers and Corporate HR to identify current and future needs. Works to enhance employee performance through individual or group development. * Identifies and assesses organizational issues or situations. Directly, or through Corporate OD, designs and implement interventions to improve business performance, organizational systems and staff relationships. Monitors desired change within the organization. * Partners with managers to optimize existing compensation systems to support business needs. Works with Corporate HR to resolve special issues and/or concerns unique to a given business need. * May assure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to human resource and employee relations issues. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of current trends, laws and developments in HR to best serve the location/business unit. * May identify and implement Communication initiatives for managers and employees to increase understanding and commitment to business strategies and tactics. * Responsible for the on-going management and development of assigned employees. Determines staffing and skill requirements to meet departmental needs, and implements plans to satisfy those needs.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors' degree in Business, Behavioral Science, Human Resources or Industrial Relations. * MBA or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related area preferred. * Minimum 10 years of progressively more sophisticated experience as an HR Business Partner and Organizational Effectiveness Consultant. * Required areas of experience include: organizational design, implementing strategic change, performance management, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, HR policy/program development. * Demonstrated ability to work with Human Resources practitioners and confidence in working with all levels of management. * Demonstrated ability to align organizational systems, processes, and structures to business strategies and objectives. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus the ability to effectively influence others. Strong project management capabilities. * Demonstrated skills and experience in all aspects of consulting and group facilitation. * Experience in a global organization preferred, but not required. * Previous management experience a plus.
