Industrial Designer

As an Industrial Designer at Magic Leap you will create products and experiences that bring joy and a sense of wonder to everyone. You will work from concept to production on products that convey an exceptional aesthetic and attention to detail. It's an exciting time for our company, as we develop a new form of computing that opens up many new opportunities. Responsibilities: * Work on a variety of projects that establish the look and feel of the Magic Leap brand * Develop product designs that take into account the user at every touch point * Create renderings and presentation assets to assist in communicating ideas to various teams * Create multiple prototypes to learn from and evolve * Develop detailed drawings and 3D data of product designs * Communicate with model shops to create prototypes that maintain design intent * Collaborate with cross functional teams * Conduct design research and strategy

Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Industrial Design * Minimum of 1.5 years of professional experience * Deep sense of passion and creative energy * Strong problem solving abilities * Excellent communication skills * Ability to hand sketch multiple ideas quickly * Proficiency creating physical prototypes by hand and digitally * Solid 2d software abilities in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign * Outstanding 3d software skills in Rhino, Alias, or Solidworks * Good presentation design (Powerpoint, Keynote, or similar) * Rendering capabilities using Keyshot or V-Ray * Experience designing soft goods or fashion is preferred * Experience creating packaging solutions is a plus
