Summary
You’ll be responsible for a diverse list of responsibilities, from ordering and stocking both the office supplies and pantry to helping our IT department with new employee set-up. Also serving as the first point of contact for all visitors, the Office Assistant is the MediaRadar welcome wagon! This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, is pro-active and attentive to detail.
Responsibilities
* Ensures the smooth running of day to day operations around our offices * Anticipates needs and stocks office supplies and pantry items * Maintains a monthly supply, food and beverage budget * Works with building management on facilities issues and upkeep * Maintains office and facilities equipment by completing routine and preventative maintenance or outsourcing when needed * Troubleshoots all facilities issues and ensures repairs are made in a timely manner * Answers staff and visitor facilities related questions * Proactively communicates status of facilities and office projects and repairs to all employees * Assists IT department with new hire desk and computer set up * Troubleshoots basic desktop computer related issues and conducts routine printer maintenance * Receives and distributes all publications, mail and other deliveries to appropriate parties * Greets all visitors and sets them up in the appropriate conference room * Helps with company event logistics and execution
Ideal Candidate
* 1-2 years in a facilities or office administrator role * Approachable, engaging and outgoing * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Proven ability to manage a monthly budget * Detail oriented * Ability to research problems and implement solutions * Must be reliable and punctual * Sense of humor and entrepreneurial spirit are non-negotiable!
